Summary
Danzo Shimura was the founder of Root, Konoha's secret ANBU training division, and a shadow leader who operated by the philosophy that the village must be protected at any cost — including through assassinations, manipulation, and the destruction of clans. He was responsible for the Uchiha massacre, the corruption of Hanzo in Amegakure, and numerous other dark operations. Armed with multiple Sharingan and Hashirama's cells, he wielded Izanagi to survive fatal attacks. Sasuke Uchiha finally killed him at the Samurai Bridge after the Five Kage Summit.
