Summary

Hashirama Senju, the First Hokage, was the founder of the Hidden Leaf Village and the most powerful shinobi of his era — known as the God of Shinobi. Born during the brutal Warring States Period, Hashirama lost his younger brothers Kawarama and Itama to the endless clan warfare. He formed a secret friendship with Madara Uchiha, and together they dreamed of ending the cycle of child death by creating a village system. Hashirama's Wood Release — a unique kekkei genkai — allowed him to create forests, golems, and the colossal Several Thousand Hands statue that could subdue even the Nine-Tails clad in Susanoo.

After defeating Madara at the Valley of the End, Hashirama established Konoha's leadership structure and distributed the Tailed Beasts among the nations to create a balance of power. His cells — containing extraordinary life force — would become the most coveted biological material in the shinobi world, experimented on by Orochimaru and implanted in numerous figures including Madara, Yamato, and Danzo. During the Fourth War, Hashirama was reanimated and fought alongside his brother Tobirama and successor Hiruzen, passing the will of fire to the new generation. His charisma, idealism, and extraordinary power made him the template for every Hokage who followed.
