Summary
Konohamaru Sarutobi is the grandson of the Third Hokage and one of Naruto Uzumaki's earliest disciples. As a child, Konohamaru sought to escape his grandfather's shadow, resenting being seen only as the "Honorable Grandson." He challenged Naruto, who became his first real rival and mentor, teaching him the Sexy Jutsu and later the Rasengan — techniques that would become Konohamaru's signature abilities. His determination to be recognized for his own merits drove him to master advanced techniques at a young age.
During the Pain invasion, Konohamaru demonstrated his courage by confronting one of the Six Paths of Pain alone to protect his teacher Ebisu. Using the Rasengan — the technique passed down from his grandfather's student Jiraiya to Naruto and now to him — he defeated the Naraka Path in a moment that proved the will of fire had been passed to the next generation. In Boruto, the now-adult Konohamaru has become a Jonin and the leader of the new Team 7, mentoring Boruto Uzumaki, Sarada Uchiha, and Mitsuki. He hopes to one day become Hokage, following in his grandfather's footsteps.
