Summary

Hagoromo Otsutsuki, the legendary Sage of Six Paths, was the son of Kaguya Otsutsuki and the father of Indra and Ashura. After defeating his mother alongside his brother Hamura, Hagoromo sealed the Ten-Tails within himself, becoming the first jinchuriki. He traveled the world teaching Ninshu — the predecessor to modern ninjutsu — believing chakra should connect people spiritually rather than be used as a weapon. On his deathbed, he divided the Ten-Tails' chakra into the nine Tailed Beasts and chose his younger son Ashura as his successor over Indra, sparking a cycle of reincarnation that would define the Uchiha-Senju conflict for generations. During the Fourth War, Hagoromo appeared to Naruto and Sasuke, granting them his Six Paths power to defeat Madara and Kaguya. He represents the ideal that power should serve peace, not domination.
