KAYOU card holo pattern differences by edition?

I just picked up a Japanese edition KAYOU card and noticed the holo pattern looks slightly different from the English release I already had. Both are supposed to be the same rarity tier, but the foil shift and the texture feel distinct. Is this a known thing between regional printings, or could one of them be a counterfeit? I've seen people talk about font differences on the back, but not the foil itself. Also, does the Japanese edition hold more value in the current market compared to the English one? Curious if anyone else has compared these side by side.
